I am excited to work with so many wonderful students.  I look forward to an amazing year!

Hello, my name is Jenny King and I teach 5th grade at East Salem Elementary School.  I grew up in Salem as the daughter of parents who were both long time educators. I have one brother who also lives in Salem with his family.  I attended G.W.Carver, Andrew Lewis and Salem High School. 

​

After graduating from Bridgewater College, I began teaching 5th grade at West Salem Elementary.  After the arrival of my first child, I decided to become a "stay at home" mom during which time I taught private piano lessons.  After 15 years, I decided to return to the classroom and I am thrilled be a teacher at East Salem.

​

I am married to Chris and we have 2 children.  Our daughter, Christen, is a senior at Bridgewater College and she is majoring in Elementary Education. Our son, Hunter, is a sophomore at Salem High who loves baseball, golf and swimming.  We attend First United Methodist Church and are active in the Salem community.

​

I love outdoor activities such as running, walking, and playing tennis.  But most of all, I love spending time with my family!
